Familyandother.blog is a site for our families’ stories, histories, and pictures. Our families are a truly American blend of people who arrived in the 1600 and 1700s, and recently arrived immigrants who came to this country in the very late 1800s and early 1900s. My father’s families’ names are Carpenter, Allison, Mattice, Carrouthers, Kisor, and Woodfield. My mother’s family names are Valachovic, Hladik, and Masaryk. My husband, Jack’s families are Rivetti and Kanitra. I hope to add more names to the list as more discoveries are made.
The ‘andother’ section is where I plan to blog about our hiking in beautiful places, section hiking the Appalachian Trail, a bit of peak bagging in the Adirondacks, and an exploration of our local Paint Branch Park.
